Below you'll find the details on pretty much all of the releases I've been a part of prior to releasing music as Mike Downey. Thanks to all of the labels that put this stuff out. A lot of it is out of print but if you search around I'm sure some of it is still available through the labels themselves or various mail orders. A good place to start would be Parasol, as they've carried a good deal of these releases.

The National Splits

Wolfie


Wolfie was Joe Ziemba (bass, guitar, vocals), Amanda Lyons (keys, vocals), RJ Porter (drums), Mike Downey (guitar, vocals). I left the band in 2000. Wolfie continued on to record and release the full length Tall Dark Hill on March Records in 2001.

Slackjawed started as Joe Ziemba's solo project. In 1995 it became a full-fledged band. Slackjawed was Joe Ziemba (guitar, bass, vocals), RJ Porter (drums), Mike Downey (guitar, bass, vocals). This band became Wolfie after Amanda Lyons joined the group in 1997.
